The Eighth Research Scholars’ Day at IIT Palakkad continues the tradition of celebrating the spirit of inquiry, creativity, and innovation that defines our research community. As the institute’s annual flagship event, it brings together scholars from diverse domains to share their work, exchange perspectives, and build meaningful academic and industry connections.
Over the years, Research Scholars’ Day has grown into a vibrant forum for showcasing research excellence. This edition carries that legacy forward while embracing a wider community. We are delighted to welcome external research scholars, postgraduate students, faculty from other institutions, and industry professionals, making the event a broader, more collaborative platform than ever before.
The identity of the RSD event is shaped by the theme “Pravaha”—a Sanskrit word meaning “flow.” Pravaha reflects the natural, continuous movement of knowledge as it evolves, merges, and expands. Like a river that begins as a small stream and gains strength by joining countless tributaries, research too thrives through shared ideas, diverse perspectives, and collective growth. The theme symbolises how this event serves as a confluence where ideas meet, deepen, and eventually ripple out to create impact.
With thought-provoking keynote sessions, engaging discussions, poster and oral presentations, and ample opportunities for networking, the eighth edition aims to cultivate a dynamic environment that inspires innovation and nurtures the next generation of researchers.
